Best pistachios you can buy

I've been eating Zenobia pistashios since the 1950's when they were available in small green boxes as the penny candy store. The ones from California are big and round but they lack the flavor of the Turkish ones. I seem to recall that the ones I remember as a child were sourced from Iran but I might be mistaken. Those were the ones I never forgot and I wish I could compare the Turkish to the Iranan. But Since those countries share a border I'm sure they are almost identical in size and flavor. Buy the Gold Turkish ones and you'll never regret it.

Nuts like I grew up on !!

Long before California started growing pistachio nuts, imported pistachios from the Mediterranean countries were the only ones available. Those were the ones I ate while growing up. These taste like the old world nuts, better by far than the modern ones from California that taste so different. Although more expensive than California pistachio nuts, the taste of these Turkish pistachio nuts is what I remember from my youth.
